This book contains 32 fairy tales collected by the author from Nama and Damara people in Namibia, translated into German. Probably all of these tales originate from European-Asiatic sources, but have been considerabley Africanised, as well as the details have been modernised. In further chapters, the author informs about the storytellers, and discusses the tale motives, their distribution in southern Africa, as well as the phenomenon of transformation of European-Asian tales to African ones.
